Subscription Page & Donation Buttons Live
Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 12:59AM First, a general update. Aside from some fleshing out of the FAQ (some of which will have to wait until later - like after the iTunes feed is established), the website is ready to receive content. The last major pieces are in place (more on that below). I'm excited to share that tomorrow should be the day that I record the first few shows and post them on the site. The iTunes podcast subscription will come shortly thereafter, once iTunes accepts the show and puts it in their store. I'll keep you updated. As I have 30 Pop Goes Catholicism Resource Sheets written and ready to go, plus more ideas every day, I should be able to produce several initial episodes to give you a good idea what this project is like.
OK. I admit it. It's crazy presumptive to be putting 'support me' buttons in a sidebar before there's any actual content on the page. But as it effected the way the page looked, I wanted to get it done now so that I could focus on nothing but great content from now on. Thus, if you (eventually!) find the content I create of value to you, there's now an easy way to have Paypal (my payment processor - and no, you don't have to have a Paypal account to donate) take your donation, either in the form of a recurring monthly charge ($1 or $3) or in the form of a one time donation in any amount you see fit.
Second, I'm excited to have set up the payment gateway for subscribing to the Pop Goes Catholicism Resource Sheets. If you use the little form on the Subscription page, for the low fee of $5 per month you'll receive every resource emailed directly to you.
